Karen Warnham

Karen joined Penmellyn vets in early 2013 and became Practice Manager in late 2015, overseeing the general running of all practices within the Penmellyn Veterinary Group and being the go to person for most staffing issues. 

Her career started within the financial sector initially with Natwest Bank before moving to accountancy, which she gained the AAT qualification in.

In her previous role as Accounts and HR Manager, she gained experience in Human Resources and Marketing, these skills are all incorporated in her current role. 

 Karen went on to gain a qualification in Human Resources (CIPD) and she is currently studying for the veterinary qualification - Certificate in Veterinary Leadership and Management (CVLM) 

Karen was born and brought up in the St Austell area reporting that Cornwall is the only place she would want to live. 

She has always been an animal lover and presently has four cats, Maggie, Nellie, Henry and Winnie, one dog called Mabel and two rabbits! 

Karen loves her job and in particular the variety every day brings, no day is ever the same in the veterinary profession.
